Of course, I'm thinking of the worldwide sensation, BTS! starting with J-Hope in July 22 to V in September 23 of '23, Every BTS member dropped solo albums. As someone who's been vibing to their music even before debut, this is like a treasure trove for me! 🥰 So, how about we take a quick dive into BTS's history of solos with a recommended track for each handpicked by none other than me? Blackpink in Your Area! Blackpink is one of the very few groups where all the members have dropped solo albums. It all started with Jennie's "Solo" in November 2018, and we wrapped up five years of solo projects with Jisoo's "Flower" in March 2023.
Honestly, Do I have to spit it out myself at this point? – we all know how awesome Blackpink is, right? I did some digging, and guess what? Blackpink members are taking the top three spots for first-week sales among all solo female artists ever. Blinks must be filled to the brim with pride!

One thing that did impress me recently was when they performed their solo songs at Coachella! Each member doing their absolute best on stage was such a heart-pounding moment for me. Personally, my fav performance was Rosé's "On the Ground." She's got this incredible power in such a petite body, and I'm always blown away when I watch her.

And Jihyo, well, she came back with a track that's all about being "Jihyo herself." Can you believe it? She sold over 530,000 copies in the first week! That means she's up there in the top 20 first-week sales for solo artists, just like Nayeon. These two are total solo powerhouses, no doubt about that!🥰

Now, I'm waiting for the other TWICE members to drop their solo albums too. Personally, I'm super hyped for Sana's solo album. I'm thinking it's gonna be a whole different vibe from Masamo's unit album, filled with Sana's unique style and flavor. Can't wait! 🥹

NCT seems to be diving into the solo game too! Taeyong kicked it off recently with "SHALALA." You know what's even cooler? Taeyong was directly involved in writing and composing every single song on the album. So, in a way that makes me feel proud of him. It was totally "Taeyong-esque" in style.
Taeyong is such a versatile artist, you know, doing dance, rap, singing – you name it, he can do it. That's why he can explore so many different things.

Oh, and did you see he started a challenge that got pretty huge? Has anyone tried it? I found it too challenging, haha. 😂

Other NCT members haven't started their solo gigs yet, but we got a taste with some NCT LAB solo digital singles before. There were songs from Mark, Jaehyun, and Ten. When I listened to Mark's "Child," it hit me right in the feels. It felt like I got a glimpse of the struggles and emotions he couldn't easily share with us.

Mark talked about his feelings while writing the song in a video with Johnny. I think it'd be awesome if everyone watched it together, so I'll share it.

NCT has so many members, so we can expect such a variety of solo stuff. Hehe. Looking forward to what's coming next!
